Fallon Sherrock and Beau Greaves were among the high-profile names who failed to earn a PDC Tour Card at Q-School in Milton Keynes on Sunday.
Sherrock fell to a second-round 6-1 defeat at the hands of James Beeton as her final opportunity to secure access to PDC tournaments for the next two years passed her by.
Greaves fared a little better than Sherrock, thrashing Ted Evetts 6-0 in the second round, before a tightly contested 6-5 defeat to Carl Sneyd saw her eliminated.
Simon Whitlock, World Championship runner-up in 2010, suffered a similar fate, with his hopes of securing a Tour Card dashed by a 6-3 defeat to Tom Sykes in the first round.
Former world No 4 Mervyn King and three-time world senior darts major winner John Henderson also failed to secure Tour Cards.
Bradley Brooks, Darryl Pilgrim, Greg Ritchie, Adam Paxton, Cam Crabtree, Adam Lipscombe and Adam Warner all secured their Tour Cards via the PDC Order of Merit.
In Europe, Cor Dekker, Maik Kuivenhoven, Karel Sedlacek, Oskar Lukasiak, Dominik Gruellich, Tytus Kanik, Rusty-Jake Rodriguez and Stefaan Henderyck all secured their Tour Cards on the final day of Q-School.
